When Your Fur Baby Needs Help and It’s After Hours. . .

It’s every pet owner’s nightmare. Your fur baby gets sick and your local vet has closed for the day. Your only option is to find an emergency pet hospital, but who can help and where do you go?

While Nevada County lacks an after-hours emergency pet care facility for dogs and cats, the good news is there is help about 45 minutes to an hour’s drive from Nevada City and Grass Valley.

To help save you time, I’ve compiled a list of hospitals that may provide the help you need in those critical, potentially lifesaving times where every minute counts.

Print out this guide and tack it to your refrigerator, or tuck it in your car’s glove compartment for safekeeping.
